Simon has long been a train fan. My mom took him to see the Train museum months ago and he still talks about it. That’s why we knew he’d love the Night Trains exhibit.
They have all the model trains running on tracks, but the building is dark and only the trains are lit up.
We invited the Humphrey’s to go with us. Needless to say, the kids had an amazing time.
Essentially, they could not take their eyes off the trains.
Our whole group (that’s Mark carrying Christian walking through the background)
And the boys
Victoria, being either a year older, a girl, or both, lost interest more quickly than the boys.
I am totally digging his cheesy smile in this picture. What a dork!
Everything was still decorated for Christmas, even though this was February 28th! And I love how all three kids are enraptured by these skimpy Charlie Brown trees.
There was so much to see (TWO buildings!) even the four and five year olds needed to be carried.
Many of the scenes were interactive, so the kids could press buttons and make things move, which added to the overall appeal of the thing.
Poor Kelly is so short, she couldn’t even see over the table. I think Mark should have lifted HER!
The only family photo I took, too bad Mark is about to sneeze.
Simon would have stayed all night, if we let him. He completely loved it. (Auntie Livi, not so much. It was fun for the first ten minutes, but then I was good-to-go.)
But I definitely know two people who had a good time!
