Simon’s mama, Gina, had a party for him in St. Paul. This was a big deal. Prior to this birthday, she had separate birthdays for both sides of Simon’s family. This time, friends and family were abundant and plentiful.
The party was on April 15. It was at Choo-Choo Bob’s Train Store in St. Paul. What a fantastic place for a little boy party. Aside from the train tables where the kids could play, there was a private room and you could bring food. And there was a working model train running in the front of the store. The kids were in heaven.
Heaven, I tell ya.
He’s showing me the special cake his mama got him.
Miss Jaysa was there and having fun.
Simon and Gina in front of the real railroad sign. Don’t they look so much alike?
The Humphreys were kind enough to come.
And managed some cuddle time with Arionna.
Both of them. Do you think this guy misses having a baby around? Look how happy he is…
Sony and Dylan were there.
Simon got a bit overwhelmed. Barnacle.
The gift I gave him. He’s saying “ooooh! I love this”.
I don’t remember what they’re looking at, but I thought it funny how whatever it was could capture the full attention of three active little boys.
I got a little cuddle time in, myself.
They’re watching the train go round. Love that picture.
Overall, it was a wildly successful little birthday party. A bit of hectic, a bit of crying, but everyone had fun.
I also got some favorite photos out of the deal.
The birthday boy…smiling…by the sign…bearing his name. Per-fec-tion.
But, somehow, doesn’t top this:
Cheeky little bugger. That one is hall-of-fame favorite. Love it.
And, so I’ll remember, that night, after I got home, it snowed. Snowed on April 15th. Go figure.
It was a fun day!
